Playday Pack Pattern
Playday Pack by Susan Melka
Uses a worsted weight feltable yarn. We recommend: Cascade 220 or Berocco Ultra Alpaca Worsted.
To knit is as shown, you will need 3 colors, approximately 200 yards each, (sample was knit in Universal Yarns Deluxe Worsted 2275 Mulberry, 12176 Teal and 12224 Chartreuse Olive) a 24″ US 10.5 circular needle and US 9 double point needles. Gauge is 3 stitches and 5 rows = 1″ before felting.

You can never have too many bags … and this one will quickly become one of your favorites! It’s a cute, roomy, easy to carry, self-closing style that doesn’t even need a lining. Knit in one piece, the body of the bag is felted in the washing machine. The long strap is knit flat or in the round and encases a soft cotton cord for added strength and comfort. The strap is lightly felted by hand, and hand stitched to the felted bag in two places. Try it—you’ll love it!
