Happy Home Tour
77″ x 70″
I first designed this quilt to appear as house photographs with dark corners that were often used in scrapbooks. The first quilt I made used vintage fabrics and had a country look. I like the bold and bright houses in this version much better. The quilt is composed of nine framed house blocks and simple companion blocks used as spacers. It is not a hard quilt to make, but you will need to be accurate in both cutting and sewing in order to fit all parts together.
This happy quilt is a sampler of nine house blocks and a few classic pieced blocks. The bright fabrics are lively and cheery, but the quilt looks great in vintage or reproduction fabrics as well. This quilt would work well as a small group quilt or a group challenge quilt and is very scrap friendly.
