Dragonfly Dance
Make Kaleidoscope quilt blocks without the use of templates or specialized rulers. This easy cutting and piecing technique utilizes 10� squares (layer cake square size). The finished size of the blocks is 8�. 70.5″ square.
Full instructions are enclosed for cutting the kite-shaped and wedge-shaped pieces using a 24� x 6� quilting ruler, a grided cutting mat and rotary cutter. The blocks are easy to piece and are then trimmed to exactly 8½� square, making the quilt top assembly fast and precise. Pattern includes a blank diagram for designing your own unique quilt.
The on-point setting of the Kaleidoscope blocks in Dragonfly Dance, makes the pattern complex in appearance. It is actually much simpler than it looks, utilizing half Kaleidoscope blocks around the outer edges of the design and floating them on the black inner border.
