Dragon Downloadable Pattern
This is a downloadable pattern. Downloads are sent immediately after purchase.
3 Sizes: Main instruction for 36×42, with additional 24×28 and 48×56. That is the image only border can of course be added to change size.
Pattern includes: Yardage and cutting charts. First chart for strips, second set of charts are for piece length from those strips. Shaping is done with quick corner triangles. Once those are marked you will follow a full page image of the quilt with alphabetically labeled pieces. Assembling the top row by row.
Once the top is completed the eyes, nostrils, and mouth will be added in an applique fashion. This is a surprising simple design, and a great one to have some fun with fabric colors. My son says fierce dragons are Red, so that is what I ended up with. If you are making it for a baby you might want to go with softer colors.
If you know someone having twins, it could be fun to do a Dragon / Knight or Dragon / Princess combination. I have also seen some fun younger / older sibling sets using the multiple sizes.
