Block #1 Massachusetts MayflowerPearl started her quilt from the center block asking each other what represented Americas beginnings to us. The Mayflower landing in Massachusetts just seemed to be the perfect center block for this quilt and that was how it all started. The Mayflower is surrounded with a wreath of flower and berries and tucked into the wreath the state bird Black Capped Chickadee. The love for the Baltimore Album Quilts made during the 1800s was the inspiration for the American Album Blocks. Each new 15� realistic album style block is filled with flowers, birds and a little American history. Each Pattern includes full size numbered pattern with detailed embroidery instructions and Pearls Easy Applique Techniques. Join us as we travel across America block by block and state by state.
