Description
Alpaca Quilt Pattern
Bright, Fun, Alpaca quilt pattern.
This is a great pattern to get creative with your fabric choices, and to pull out your scraps with many of the details needing only 1/4 yd or less.
Sizes: The main instruction is for a 36×42 crib size baby quilt, but it also comes with alternate smaller and larger sizes. The small 24×28 great for a wall hanging or as part of a larger quilt. The large 48×56 makes a great lap quilt or add some borders to make it a twin or even center of a full bed.
Skill Level: Beginner The pattern lists fabric yardage, then uses tables to show the number of strips to cut and the number of pieces to cut from those strips. The entire top is then sewn using straight 1/4″ seams. The shaping is done with quick corner triangles also called the quick corner or snowball method. There are some instructional videos on youtube. Just search Counted Quilts.
Selecting Fabrics: Due to the fact that the pattern pieces may be sewn both horizontally and vertically to make the picture we recommend using non-directional fabric.
